Collaborative writing as macramè: touching, non-touching, to be touching and intimacy

Abstract
- The workshop presents a work-in-progress collaborative auto-ethnography generated by six feminist researchers (two from Norway, three from Italy, one from UK) coming together to share specific stories about individuals whose life events have resulted in a loss of dignity. The aim of the collaborative writing experience was trying to understand what, as adults, we can learn from each other, and how this learning might be transformative for our daily lives. By sharing our stories, we are striving to capture the essence of dignity and the importance of touching-non-toucing and how these (or their lack) manifest in everyday life, particularly for the elderly and unwell who lack the resources to demand the rights and respect they deserve and have earned.
