Abstract

This item contains a number of different correspondence regarding the Okefenokee Refuge and proposed DuPont mining. Some are letters written to Congressman Saxby Chambliss, asking him not to allow progress to move forward. Others are to Congressman Charles Norwood, Dr. Leon Aronson, and DuPont shareholders and its CEO, among others. Also included are letters to the editors of various papers, articles from the Atlanta Constitution, the Georgia Times-Union, and other publications, as well as informational sheets speaking out against the proposed mining.
