Abstract

This paper describes a novel telepresence system which enables users to walk through a photorealistic virtualized environment by actual walking. In this system, a wide-angle high-resolution video is projected on an immersive multi- screen display and a treadmill is controlled according to user’s locomotion. Calibration and motion estimation of a camera system are performed to enhance quality of pre- sented images.
