Abstract
- The incorporation of women into the work environment is very evident, not only are the housework if not also the stress that is experienced daily at work impacting not only on physical and mental health, but also affects sexuality and therefore sexual desire and relationships. Objective: To determine the relationship between work stress and sexual desire in female health personnel in the city of Loja 2022. Methodological design: Analytical, cross-sectional and relational study. The sample consisted of 278 women from the health sector working in the city of Loja. A form with sociodemographic data, DESEA questionnaire and Burnout Inventory was elaborated. Spearman's Rho was used for correlations among variables and for comparisons, Kruskal Wallis H or Mann Whitney U, with significance of p<0.05. Results: Most of the women were 20-39 years old (76.6%), with an average age of 35±8 years; 52.5% are physicians, 32.7% nurses and 14.7% nursing assistants; 50.4% are practicing believers and 60.4% work in the public sector. 72.3% present some level of hypoactive sexual desire, which is associated stress (Burnout) (p=0.009), age (p=0,019), number of children (p=0.026) and couple relationship (p=0.001). Conclusions: Female health sector workers in Loja present hypoactive sexual desire and it is associated with different factors, such as work stress, age, number of children and couple relationship.
