Kostundervisningens komplexitet : En kvalitativ studie gällande idrottslärares perspektiv på undervisning om kosthållning i kursen idrott och hälsa 1

Då kostundervisningen i skolan till stora delar har visat sig vara ett komplext område, har denna studie i syfte att undersöka idrottslärares perspektiv på undervisning gällande problematik kopplat till kosthållning i kursen idrott och hälsa 1. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod inkluderade studien semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem idrottslärare från två olika gymnasieskolor i Värmland. Informanterna valdes ut genom ett målstyrt urval och datainsamlingen analyserades genom kodning, vilket möjliggjorde identifiering av teman och kategorier. Studiens resultat visade att idrottslärarna hade varierande kunskaps- och erfarenhetsnivåer inom kosthållning och att undervisningen ofta enbart byggde på de enskilda lärarnas intresse och kunskap om området. Studien visade också att kostundervisning uppfattades som ett känsligt område bland lärarna, och att vissa uttryckte en rädsla för att undervisa kring detta. Sammanfattningsvis belyser denna studie att det finns en komplexitet där det saknas tydlighet om vad kostundervisningen i skolan ska innehålla.
Since nutrition education in school has largely turned out to be a complex subject, this study aims to investigate physical education teachers' perspective on teaching regarding problems connected to nutrition in the course physical education and health 1. Using a qualitative method, the study included semi-structured interviews with five physical education teachers from two different high schools in Värmland, Sweden. The informants were selected through purposive sampling and the collected data was analyzed through coding, which allowed for the identification of themes and categories. The results showed that the physical education teachers had varying levels of knowledge and experience in nutrition and that the teaching was often based solely on the individual teachers' interest and knowledge of the subject. The study also showed that nutrition education was perceived as a sensitive topic among teachers, with some expressing a fear of teaching it. In summary, this study highlights that there is a complexity where there is a lack of clarity about what nutrition education in school should contain.
