Paixões no discurso jornalístico: da confiança à decepção numa crônica política

This work deals with the role played by the passions related to the confidence and the disappointment in the intersubjective relationships between enunciator and enunciatee, considering the system of values that permeates the construction of the discourse. Thus, based on greimassian semiotics and French Discourse Analysis, we present an analysis of a political column published by Folha de São Paulo newspaper before 2006’s brazilian election second round. Considering the constraints of the genre of discourse and the strategy of identification between the journalist and the reader, we describe and analyze the passionate narrative path and the modal configurations of the passions experienced by the subjects of enunciation. We examined, then, some elements of narrative and discoursive levels of meaning generative process. The analysis of the narrative level shows that hope is the first passion in this passionate narrative itinerary. It also shows that the way as the fiduciary contract is broken creates the passionate meaning effects of disappointment, grief, insecurity, which lead to passion of lack. The analysis of the discoursive level reveals, in turn, that this passion of lack does not correspond to vengeance, but to justice, a dispassionate passion. The discourse creates a passionate effect consistent with the meaning effects of objectivity and detachment.
Este trabalho trata do papel que as paixões relacionadas à confiança e à decepção desempenham nas relações intersubjetivas entre enunciador e enunciatário, considerando aí o sistema de valores que permeiam a construção do discurso. Assim, com base na semiótica greimasiana e na Análise do Discurso dita de linha francesa, procederemos à análise de uma crônica política publicada pelo jornal Folha de São Paulo pouco antes da realização do segundo turno da eleição presidencial brasileira de 2006. Considerando as coerções do gênero do discurso e a estratégia de identificação entre o jornalista e o leitor, descrevemos e analisamos o percurso narrativo passional e as configurações modais das paixões experimentadas por esses sujeitos da enunciação. Examinamos, assim, alguns elementos dos níveis narrativo e discursivo do percurso gerativo do sentido. No nível narrativo, notamos que a “esperança” é a paixão que inicia esse percurso passional, e que a maneira como o contrato fiduciário é quebrado cria os efeitos passionais da decepção, da mágoa, da insegurança, conduzindo a uma paixão de falta. A análise do nível discursivo, por sua vez, revela que esta paixão de falta não corresponde à vingança, mas sim à justiça, uma paixão desapaixonada. Cria-se um efeito passional que se coaduna com os efeitos de sentido de objetividade e de distanciamento.
