U pristupu bolesniku s povišenim jetrenim enzimima nužna je iscrpna anamneza i detaljan fi zikalni pregled. Pravovremena rana dijagnoza jetrene bolesti može spriječiti razvoj ireverzibilnog oštećenja jetre.

The liver disease develops subclinically for a long time and the disease is being diagnosed in its later stages. Bad prognosis and high costs of treatment demand early diagnosis and adequate treatment. In the approach to the patient with elevated liver enzymes the most important are detailed medical history and physical exam. Early diagnosis of the liver disease can prevent the development of irreversible liver damage.
