Abstract
- It has been proposed for a long time that an increase of allergic and autoimmune diseases can at least partly be attributed to a decreasing incidence of infectious diseases. Newer murine studies could show that even intra-uterine contact to for instance helminth infections lead to lower allergy susceptibility in the offspring. This was correlated with apart others a downregulated placental vitamin D receptor. This dissertation shows the results of a human pilot study comparing a cohort from helminth endemic Gabon and one from Germany, which partly reflect the findings from the murine study.<br />Seit längerem geht man davon aus, dass die Zunahme an Allergien und Autoimmunkrankheiten teilweise durch abnehmende Infektionskrankheiten begründet ist.
