Situational Open Innovation

The methodology ‘Situational Open Innovation (SOI)’ situation-specifically supports SMEs (Mittelstand) in operatively planning Open Innovation projects. Based on a systematic analysis of the specific goal and project situation, relevant external and internal partners are identified, who operatively contribute to a solution, and who ensure the strategic long-term success of the project. In addition, suitable collaboration methods are derived. To allow a better usability, SOI was implemented as software demonstrator. The evaluation in industry ensures the applicability of SOI and reveals general success factors of method application in companies.
Die Methodik ‚Situational Open Innovation (SOI)‘ unterstützt mittelständische KMU bei der situationsgerechten operativen Planung von Open Innovation-Projekten. Basierend auf einer systematischen Analyse der jeweiligen Problemstellung und Projektsituation werden relevante externe und interne Partner für die Lösungssuche und den langfristigen strategischen Erfolg des Projekts identifiziert. Zudem werden geeignete Kollaborationsmaßnahmen abgeleitet. Für eine bessere Nutzbarkeit wurde SOI als Softwaredemonstrator implementiert. Die Industrieevaluation sichert die Anwendbarkeit von SOI und offenbart allgemeine Erfolgsfaktoren für die Methodenanwendung in Unternehmen.
