Abstract

The Pt(II) acetylacetonate complex [(L)Pt(Acac)] based on aminophenyl-substituted 2-(2-thienyl)pyridine (L) was synthesized, its photophysical properties were studied and compared with these properties for a similar complex containing no amino group in the ligand. The structure of the complex was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (CIF file CCDC no. 2144689), 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, ESI mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. © 2022, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
