Propuesta de un plan de prevención de riesgos físico – mecánicos en el área de conformado mecánico de una empresa del sector metal – mecánico de Cuenca

The present study was carried out in a Company in the metallurgy sector of Cuenca, with the objective of proposing a plan for the prevention of physical-mechanical risks in the area of mechanical forming. For this, an initial diagnosis of the company was made, where the risk factors present in the area of mechanical forming were determined by PYMES questionnaires and the matrix of occupational risks. Once the risk factors had been identified, their evaluation was carried out, respectively, applying the William Fine method for the evaluation of mechanical risks, and the use of measuring equipment: sound level meter and lux meter for physical risk evaluation. As a result of William Fine's evaluation, the risk factors with high estimation, and that require immediate correction, are the following: Entrapment by or between objects, collision with moving objects, blows and cuts by objects or tools, projection of components of the machine, fragments, pieces or dies. While the results obtained in the evaluation of physical risks, the noise exceeds the maximum permissible limits, in accordance with the provisions of the reference regulation NOM-025-STPS-2008. Once the risk factors present in the mechanical forming area have been identified and evaluated, the proposal for a physical-mechanical risk prevention plan is carried out, through the implementation of control, action, and prevention measures, with The purpose of safeguarding the health and safety of the workers from the mechanical forming area
