El hombre es un mamífero y como tal las hembras están capacitadas para amamantar a sus crías. Las rutinas actuales a l rededor del parto distorsionan la puesta en marcha de los mecanismos necesarios para que se forme el vínculo entre madre e hijo y se inicie la lactancia. Es necesario replantearse nuevamente las necesidades de la madre, favorecer e l delicado engranaje hormonal del parto y potenciar las habilidades del recién nacido.
