Caridade e realismo: Pascal e Dostoiévski

This study aims to substantiate the assertion that the polyphonic novel created by Dostoevsky is equivalent to artistic form of Pascal's understanding concerning order of charity and its role in the order of spirit. To this end, we will compare our authors from the subjects of boredom, religious belief, suffering and identity. Next, we will propose a parallel between the Pascal’s extrapolation of the notion of infinite and the indistinguishability of the author's idea in the polyphonic novel.
O presente estudo tem como fim fundamentar a afirmação de que o romance polifônico criado por Dostoiévski é equivalente à forma artística da compreensão de Pascal a respeito da ordem da caridade e sua atuação na ordem do espírito. Para tanto, compararemos nossos autores a partir dos temas do tédio, da crença religiosa, do sofrimento e da identidade. Em seguida, proporemos um paralelo entre a extrapolação do conceito de infinito em Pascal e a indistinguibilidade da ideia do autor no romance polifônico.
