Abstract

Treball desenvolupat en el marc del programa "European Project Semester".
In the future, many problems may develop due to the steadily increasing population. Some of these are already noticeable. In order to solve space shortages, traffic jams, air pollution, shortages in water, electricity and food supply and other burgeoning problems, infrastructures must be digital and intelligent at the same time. These adapted cities are called smart cities. However, just like with any innovation, research needs to be carried out prior to any implementation. It's for this reason that CRAAX, an architectural research center, has created a smart city test bench. This is a model smart city with multiple autonomous inputs (for example buildings and bridges) that test the communication management network CRAAX has been working on for the last two years. By adding more variables, they can thoroughly test their management system in a more realistic setting. The goal of our team is to continue their development by adding yet another variable, an automated parking garage with an RFID barrier, to the Smart City testbench that CRAAX is developing. We had to make sure the designs contained the requirements set by CRAAX. These requirements were: a lift for the RC cars, a barrier controlled by RFID and the parking structure needs to fit in limited space. In this report, the research, design, building and finishing of the project are described.
Incoming
