Target tracking under communication constraints

Target tracking under communication constraints is discussed in this thesis. We propose three major distributed tracking/estimation techniques using low data rate communication links between sensor and fusion center nodes. We observe a small loss of tracking performance when we compare local estimators and the proposed distributed methods. However, the trade-off between low data rate and loss in performance is reasonable. We include both simulation and mathematical results to support our findings in this thesis.
