Abstract

Modern high-performance tyres are built up of more than 20 components/parts ensuring a well-balanced tyre performance. TREAD profiles have a comparatively complex structure, consisting of up to 5 single components, WING, CAP I, CAP II, BASE and CHIMNEY, to meet the demands of the market and statutory specifications. A further component was added to the new TREAD profiles of PCR in order to achieve selected properties. To be able to extrude these furthermore in one process step, an extension of the extrusion aggregates is necessary.<br />Modern high-performance tyres are built up of more than 20 components/parts ensuring a well-balanced tyre performance.
