Abstract

The surface modification of rubber materials is important for the practical use. However, the simple surface modification method of rubber materials is not established, and it has not been well studied. In this study, the control of the surface properties of rubber materials due to the addition of the fluorine-containing copolymer is investigated. In this paper, fluorine-containing copolymers were synthesized and added to natural rubber [NR] and styrene-butadiene-rubber [SBR]. These surfaces and mechanical properties were evaluated by the contact angle measurement, X-ray photoelectron scopy [XPS], and tensile test.<br />The surface modification of rubber materials is important for the practical use.
