Abstract
- Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measures the thermal flux differential between sample and reference during programmed temperature variations, to characterize physical and chemical changes related with heat effect. This paper studied the role of the typical zinc oxide/stearic acid activator system and its difference from zinc stearate in the vulcanization of natural rubber by DSC using squalene as analogue of natural rubber, and particularly studied the role of several aids launched in recent years that have vulcanization crosslinking capabilities in the processes of rubber vulcanization and anti-reversion. The examples include bismaleimides, biscitraconimides and acrylates<br />Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measures the thermal flux differential between sample and reference during programmed temperature variations, to characterize physical and chemical changes related with heat effect.
