The Guide contains new papers along with some which are updates of items from the first edition and others which have been published elsewhere. New aspects covered include coal and industrial minerals, the latest modifying factors and the developing practice of geometallurgy. Papers are presented in chapters entitled: An overview and outline (3 papers); The resource database (10 papers); Geological interpretation and geological modelling (9 papers); Mineral resource estimation (9 papers); Non-resource inputs to estimation of ore reserves: the modifying factors (14 papers); Ore reserve estimation (7 papers); Risk in resource and reserve estimation (7 papers); Monitoring and exploiting the reserve (9 papers); and Classification and reporting (11 papers). Each chapter begins with an overview and all new papers (except the overviews) have been abstracted separately. The text of the JORC Code 2012 is given in an appendix and there are author and subject indexes.
