Oxidised leaching selenium from Ni-Mo ore smelter dust in mixing solution system of H2SO4-HCl-H2O.

Abstract
- The thermodynamics were studied of the oxidation leaching of Se in H2SO4-HCl solutions from Ni-Mo smelter dust grading 5.47% Se. Under optimum conditions a Se leaching rate of 98% was obtained with the leach residue containing only 0.16 wt% Se. In the smelter dust Se occurred in elemental form but no Se or its compounds were detected in the leach residue, which consisted mainly of SiO2, CaSO4, Al2SiO5, As2O3 and KAlSi3O8.<br />The thermodynamics were studied of the oxidation leaching of Se in H2SO4-HCl solutions from Ni-Mo smelter dust grading 5.47% Se.
