Abstract

Scheelite was selectively floated from a calcitic low grade (0.28% WO3) ore using oleoyl sarcosine as collector and alkylated 8-hydroxyquinoline as modifier. Infrared studies with pure scheelite and calcite samples showed that hydroxyquinoline and alkylated hydroxyquinoline are adsorbed on the scheelite surface and not on the calcite surface.<br />Scheelite was selectively floated from a calcitic low grade (0.28% WO3) ore using oleoyl sarcosine as collector and alkylated 8-hydroxyquinoline as modifier.
