Abstract

A filtration method has been developed which uses a polymer material in the filtration element, by which 95% of activated carbon in the effluent can be recovered along with 85% of the water in a purified state. Bench-scale experiments showed that the method is simple and practical with the turbidity of the purified water exceeding the quality needed for recycling.
