Abstract
- A synthesis between geological analysis of the tectonics, magmatic rocks, veins and typomorphic minerals at Jiapigou, K-Ar dating results from 44 vein-rock samples and Rb-Sr dating of quartz from gold veins has determined that the main period of metallogenesis took place during the Yanshanian epoch. At this time, subduction of the Pacific plate beneath Eurasian continental crust led to intense magmatic activity in the eastern part of the North China platform, with the formation of deep faults and the circum-Pacific mineral belt. Further exploration should be focused on Mesozoic tectonic systems and nearby veins on both sides of the Jiapigou-Dalazi deep fault.<br />A synthesis between geological analysis of the tectonics, magmatic rocks, veins and typomorphic minerals at Jiapigou, K-Ar dating results from 44 vein-rock samples and Rb-Sr dating of quartz from gold veins has determined that the main period of metallogenesis took place during the Yanshanian epoch.
