Equilibria between ferrous and ferric chlorides in molten chloride salts.
-
Abstract
- Iron species in molten salts are harmful to electrolysis of MgCl2 but play an important part as catalysts in molten salt chlorination. Thus, equilibria between ferrous and ferric chlorides in molten salts were studied to improve these processes.<br />Iron species in molten salts are harmful to electrolysis of MgCl2 but play an important part as catalysts in molten salt chlorination.
