Flotation separation of collophane from dolomite using a 'metal ion-hydrophylic ligand' adsorption method.

Abstract

Separation results of batch flotation on an artificial mixture of pure minerals (25.87% P2O5 and 6.25% MgO) have indicated that it is possible to recover a concentrate containing 37.1% P2O5 and 0.6% MgO with 95% P2O5 recovery using 'Fe3+-hydrophylic ligand' as depressant.<br />Separation results of batch flotation on an artificial mixture of pure minerals (25.87% P2O5 and 6.25% MgO) have indicated that it is possible to recover a concentrate containing 37.1% P2O5 and 0.6% MgO with 95% P2O5 recovery using 'Fe3+-hydrophylic ligand' as depressant.
