Abstract
- [EN] Nowadays, in order to measure the dynamic performance of different propellers, wind tunnels are the common option used by researchers. However, wind tunnels require high initial investments, and their operating costs are also elevated, these conditions make them unavailable for most researchers and engineers. Along this thesis, a more accessible alternative to wind tunnels is presented and implemented in order to model the dynamic performance of different propellers. This alternative consists of a car top testing rig which eliminates the need for a wind tunnel. All the equipment, software, and procedures that have been implemented are carefully explained. Four different propellers have been tested, obtaining their thrust and power coefficients as well as their efficiencies. This acquired data will be used in the future for calculating the drag of a prototype UAV, also it will contribute to the election of the most suitable propeller for the UAV mission.<br />[ES] En este estudio se diseña e implementa una alternativa fiable y mucho más barata al uso de tuneles de viento para la obtención de las propiedades dinámicas de distintas helices. Esta alternativa se basa en una estructura situada en el techo de un coche equipada con todos los sensores necesarios para medir el comportamiento dinámico de distintas helices, este estudio será utilizado para determinar la helice más eficiente para implementar en un UAv de largo alcance.
