- Notes :
- "Sight Unseen" is based on the true story of Linda Riss, who was blinded when three men, hired by the man she was dating, Burton Pugach, threw lye in her face. Burton Pugach was convicted and sent to jail. After his release, Riss and Pugach were married. Pugach was later acquitted of charges accusing him of sexually abusing and trying to kill a woman with whom he had a five year affair. His wife testified that Pugach was, "a wonderful, caring husband." Text is juxtaposed with photographs of wax models depicting various eye diseases and injuries. The book "is an examination of the frightening power of human loneliness and need.", English
