Abstract
- Includes 2 original handwritten letters (4 pages each : 23 cm x 19 cm), 2 typescripts of letters (1 page each : 28 cm x 22 cm), and 1 enclosure (illustration : 17 cm x 11 cm) with engraving of Sir Thomas Munro bart. K.C.B. and his autograph below the engraving. First letter is from Thomas Munro to John Malcolm, and includes an unrestrained discussion of the Madras revenue system. The second letter is also from Thomas Munro, possibly to Charles Grant and incudes a report of Ryots being badly treated, and criticism of Hastings's intended war against the Pindaris.
