Die „Farben-Recepte“ der Firma Heinrich Wiesel sind eine umfangreiche Quellensammlung aus der Zeit von 1888 bis 1894 mit Notizen, Briefen und Rezepten unterschiedlicher Herkunft. Solche Vorschriftensammlungen waren sorgsam gehütete Fabrikgeheimnisse und sind nur selten erhalten. Erstmals ediert wird diese Sammlung nun der Forschung zugänglich. Die Auswertung der zeittypischen Dokumente mit ihren aufschlussreichen Informationen gewährt einzigartige Einblicke in die Praxis der Farbenfabrikation im 19. Jahrhundert.
The Wiesel recipes are an extensive collection of paint recipes, dating from the years 1888 to 1894. The historic documents contain notes and recipes, collected from different sources. Recipe books, manufacturing books or recipe collections were carefully kept company secrets and only very few have rarely been preserved until today. The transcribed and edited collection is now available for further research. The Wiesel collection allows a unique insight into the world of paint manufacture of the 19th century.
