Реформа Српске православне цркве у Хабзбуршкој монархији за време владавине Марије Терезије и Јосифа II : (1740-1790)

Циљ нашег истраживања јесте да прикажемо и објаснимо промене које су Марија Терезија и Јосиф II спровели у Српској православној цркви, односно у Карловачкој митрополији. Те промене су стављене у контекст државних реформи и упоређене с реформом Римокатоличке цркве у Хабзбуршкој монархији. Кроз процес реформе држава је успоставила чврсту контролу над управом и организацијом Карловачке митрополије, као и ред и дисциплину у њеним унутрашњим односима. Српска црква је на тај начин уређена и подређена држави. Посебна пажња у истраживању посвећена је променама које су извршене у појединим областима организације и унутрашњег живота Карловачке митрополије. Истраживање је спроведено у архивима Српске академије наука и уметности у Београду и Сремским Карловцима, као и у Архиву Војводине у Новом Саду. Поред необјављене архивске грађе, у раду су коришћени и објављени извори и литература на српском и страним језицима. Прикупљени подаци су анализирани, упоређивани и синтетизовани. Поједини добијени резултати приказани су у табелама. Резултати истраживања изнети су у тексту овог рада, који се састоји из две целине, подељене на поглавља. У првој целини сагледано је стање у Карловачкој митрополији пре реформе, истражени су и објашњени догађаји који су подстакли владара да реагује, представљен је хронолошки ток и природа реформе Српске православне цркве, и истакнути су проблеми који су је пратили. У другом делу рада изнети су резултати истраживања о извршеној редукцији српских манастира, преуређењу парохијалне мреже, уређивању финансијских и имовинских прилика у Митрополији, реформи основних школа, проблему састављања уџбеника, посебно катихизиса, затим редукцији верских празника и уређењу духовних судова. Промене спроведене у наведеним областима нису биле једине, али су међу најважнијима.
The aim of this research is to demonstrate and explain the modifications having been implemented in the Serbian Orthodox Church, and, more precisely, in the Metropolis of Karlovci by Maria Theresia and Joseph II. These modifications have been put into context of state reforms enacted in the Habsburg Monarchy, and compared to the reform implemented by the Roman Catholic Church in the same period. The state has managed, through the reform process, to establish a firm control over the administration and organization of the Metropolis of Karlovci, as well as the order and discipline in its internal relations. In that manner has the Serbian Orthodox Church become structured and subordinated to the state. In this research, the particular attention has been drawn to the modifications implemented in specific administrative areas of the internal organization of the Metropolis of Karlovci. The research was conducted in the Archives of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts in Belgrade and Sremski Karlovci, as well as in the Archive of Vojvodina, based in Novi Sad. Apart from the unpublished archivist material, the sources and literature published in Serbian and other foreign languages have been used in the course of research. The assembled data have been analyzed, compared and synthesized. Some of the consequently obtained results have been presented in tables. The results of this research have been presented in the text of this work, composed of two units, split in chapters. In the first part, the set of circumstances attested in the Metropolis of Karlovci prior to the reform process has been presented, together with the events that had incited the ruler to undertake reactions; the chronological frame and the nature of the reform implemented by the Serbian Orthodox Church, including the arisen problems that followed it.
