The subject of research in the article is the contract of company in the roman private law and the law of medieval Serbian and Belarusian countries as the consensual contract. The mechanism of content and enforcement of the contract of company was analyzed as well as emergence of legal relationship liability. The process of roman private law reception into the legal system of medieval European countries was considered.
