Abstract: A computer model for N availability in biological culture (NDICEA: Nitrogen Dynamics In Crop rotations in Ecological Agriculture) was tested using data of several experimental farms. The computed values for available mineral N during a six-year crop rotation were consistent with the measured values. The model makes it possible to simulate the effects on N availability of differences in cultivation practices and crop rotations
