Monitoring pathogenen in kip en kipproducten, jaar 2004

Kipproducten die in het jaar 2004 werden bemonsterd in de detailhandel zijn onderzocht op de aanwezigheid van Salmonella spp. en Campylobacter jejuni/coli. Het percentage monsters dat in 2004 besmet was met Salmonella spp. bedroeg 7,4%,en voor Campylobacter spp. was dit 17,6%. Dit is voor zowel Salmonella als Campylobacter een daling ten opzichte van de percentages van 2003, waarbij de daling van zowel de Salmonella- als de Campylobacterbesmetting significant verschilt ten opzichte van 2003.
Poultry products obtained from retail stores were investigated on the presence of Salmonella spp. and Campylobacter jejuni/coli in the year 2004. In 2004 Salmonella spp. were present in 7,4% of the samples and 17,6% contained Campylobacter. Compared to 2003 this is a decrease for Salmonella as well as Campylobacter, being statistically significant for Salmonella as well as for Campylobacter. Salmonella Enteritidis was present in only 0,4% of the products.
