Abstract: This study examines the database application programming environment presented by the Applications-By-Forms (ABF) subsytem of the INGRES database managenent system (DBMS). The development of a bibliographical search and report application program is discussed. The operation of the application program is described. Positive and negative aspects of the ABF programming environment are examined.
