Abstract

Subject: The plague of frogs in the Egyptian court. There is a lithographic portrait of Mme.Malibran by Sharp on p.3. Frogs in various positions are engraved between the lines of music.<br />Sheet music can be digitized upon request. Title continues: From the oratorio of Israel in Egypt composed by G.F.Handel. A favorite song by Madame Malibran at the musical festival, Birmingham. Designed, drawn and newly arranged from the score with a separate accompaniment for the pianoforte, violin, and violincello by Joseph Gear. The music sheet was for sale by Eben H.Wade who had a music and umbrella store at 197 Washington St.<br />Bromfield Fund. December 1952. USM. #3150.
