Project Location. -IL -Ottawa USGS quad sheet -Section 08, Township 33 North, Range 4 East -LaSalle County, Illinois -Illinois River mile approximately 241.9 -Datum NAD-83. UTM Zone 15 -Northing: 4578208, Easting: 349376 -Latitude: 41.341291 Longitude: -88.800253 3. Project Description. a. Previous Authorization. CEMVR-OD-P-2009-0915. b. Current Request. The applicant proposes to perform commercial dredging at an existing, ADM Grain facility in Ottawa, Illinois. ( 1) Perform maintenance dredging of an area approximately 3 5 feet by 200 feet long, adjacent to the dock at the ADM facility. Purpose ofthe project is to maintain adequate water depth for commercial vessels. The area will be dredged to maintain depth for barge loading. (2) The mechanically dredged spoils will be placed on barge, offloaded and transported to a local landfill for disposal. There will be no return water from the discharged material. CEMVR-OD-P-2019-0870 c. Permit Area. The permit area consists of the existing docking area at the ADM Ottawa facility. 4. Agency Review. a. Department of the Army, Corps ofEngineers. The Department of the Army application is being processed under the provisions of Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403). b. State of Illinois. (1) The project plans have been submitted to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) for review. (2) The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Water Resources (IDNR/OWR) is a participant in the joint application process and require
