Abstract

[EN] One species, Bellotia apoda, belonging to the Gadiformes group, is reported for the Spanish Mediterranean. The locality of capture was near Barcelona (41º 6' 4" N, 2º 3' 6" E); the sampling gear used was commercial bottom travvling. Bellotia apoda (two specimens of 58 and 44 mm overall length) is the first finding for the spanish waters: until now its geographical distribution was restricted to the Eastern Subtropical Atlantic (South coast of Portugal, Madeira and Canary Islands) and to the Central and Western Mediterranean (Naples, La Spezia, Salonica Gulf and Villefranche-sur-Mer); lacking in the Spanish Mediterranean<br />[ES] En las costas del Mar Catalán, frente a Barcelona, se ha localizado una especie perteneciente a la familia Ophidiidae: Bellotia apoda, citada en el Mediterráneo en general, pero no en las costas españolas, por lo que la presente nota constituye la primera cita en aguas españolas
