Austin Executive Director, National Hydrologic Warning Council Raleigh, North Carolina Glenn has over 30 years in the hydrologic warning profession. He has spent the last four years serving as the Executive Director of the NHWC where he: • Oversees daily operations • Develops strategic plans • Builds coalitions with government agencies and other organizations, and • Leads focus on member services and public outreach Glenn is a Senior Fellow of the Council for Excellence in Government in Washington, DC and a recipient of the Francis W. Reichelderfer Award from the American Meteorological Society. Glenn S. Austin Executive Director, National Hydrologic Warning Council Raleigh, North Carolina Glenn has over 30 years in the hydrologic warning profession. He retired from the National Weather Service in 2008, and since then he has served as the Executive Director of the NHWC. His duties include: • Oversees daily operations • Develops strategic plans • Builds coalitions with government agencies and other organizations, and • Leads focus on member services and public outreach Glenn is a Senior Fellow of the Council for Excellence in Government in Washington, DC and a recipient of the Francis W. Pratt, PE, CFM Hydraulic Engineer Susquehanna River Basin Commission Ben serves the Susquehanna River Basin Commission, located in Harrisburg, PA, as a Hydraulic Engineer in the Planning and Operations Program, responsible for management of projects related to flood hazard mitigation through early warning, drought preparedness, water conservation, and water management policy.
