Abstract
- The complex Cu2Cl6(C12H11N2O)(2) was synthesized by reacting copper(II) chloride crystal hydrate with 1-amino-9-hydroxy-4-azafluorene, and its crystal structure was determined. Cu2Cl6C12H11N2O)(2) is a centrosymmetric dimer with chlorine bridges, in which the organic ligand is coordinated to the copper atom through the oxygen atom of the hydroxyl group. The CuCl4O polyhedron is a distorted tetragonal pyramid in which the oxygen atom is in the axial position. In crystal, dimers are linked by hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional framework. The complex exhibits ferromagnetic properties, as was shown by EPR.
