Abstract
- This paper provides a contrastive analysis on the writing systems of Sakha and Modern Korean. Both languages use a phonetic writing system and exhibit rich patterns in their morphophonemic alternation. In spite of this similarity, the two languages show difference in the degree of how phonetically consistent with morphophonemic alternation. The orthography of Sakha tries to be phonetically consistent, while that of Modern Korean tends to be consistency in indicating morphemes.
