This giant machine, which stretches nearly the full length of the SlS.foot building in which it is housed, is capable of producing more than a mile of paper every three minutes in a sheet 230 inches wide. No. 20 Machine has increased paper and paperboard production at this mill to nearly 1,000 tons every 24 hours. The machine manufactures principally bond, tablet and mimeograph papers. No. 20 Machine towers 27,0 feet into the air at the press section ~nd 25.0 feet at the calender stacks. The hooded dryer section is of latest des1~n, incorporating features that assure high efficiency and uniformity of dry~ng of the fast-moving sheet of paper. The hood also provides improved workmg conditions in the areas surrounding the machine.
