推論の手掛かりからみたダロウ

"Darou" in modern Japanese is defined by many researchers as a typical expression of epistemic modality, and almost all the previous researches focus on the semantics of "darou" as a modality expression. This paper discusses what pieces of evidence are used to obtain conjectures from "darou"-sentences. And finally this paper aims to clarify the characteristics of "darou"-sentences, and summarizes the relationships between those sorts of evidence and the conditions that are imposed on "darou"-sentences.
