Weed exterminator and method of exterminating weed

The invention relates to a method of exterminating weed, which method comprises the steps of: providing an extermination chamber (14, 14a, 14b, 14c) having at least one open side (14d), placing the open side (14d) over weed to be exterminated; substantially closing off the edge of the open side of the extermination chamber (14, 14a, 14b) and the ground or soil in which the weed is present; providing a refrigerant in the extermination chamber (14, 14a, 14b, 14c); keeping the extermination chamber (14, 14a, 14b, 14c) in place for a length of time sufficient to exterminate or kill the respective weed by means of the refrigerant while the exterminator moves forward. The invention further relates to a weed exterminator (1) having at least one extermination chamber (14, 14a, 14b, 14c) having at least one open side (14d).
