'For honour and liberty' saucer

Abstract

The top of this saucer features a laurel wreath, with the words "FOR HONOUR AND LIBERTY" written inside of it. Surrounding the wreath are the the flags of the allied countries of Belgium, Great Britain, France and Russia. Rays of gold shoot up from the wreath. Below the wreath is a black and white depiction of the British battlecruiser, H.M.S. Lion, and at the bottom of the plate is a monoplane. The rim of the saucer is gilded. On the reverse of the saucer is the manufacturer's name and location, "CHELSON CHINA," "ENGLAND," as well as a RD NO: 642987.
