Paper Bowl game officials

The Paper Bowl, sponsored by Canton “Y’s” Men’s Club who each year create two strong Class A teams in the western part of the state, was played this year between Monroe High School Pythons and Waynesville High School Mountaineers with a score of 13-0 Pythons. This photograph shows the Paper Bowl being officially opened with appropriate remarks by Mayor Floyd Woody of Canton and Mayor Jack Way of Waynesville.
