Abstract

Obverse side of this Iron Cross medal depicts a crown above the letters "FW" (signifying Frederick William III, King of Prussia), oak leaves and acorns, and the year "1813." Reverse side of medal depicts a crown, the letter "W," and the year "1914." The "W" signifies Kaiser Wilhelm and his reign during World War I. The medal is attached to a black and white striped ribbon.
