Espiritualidad y defensa al servicio de la comunidad musulmana de al-Andalus: las rábitas en Portugal

Se analizan los conceptos de guerra y paz en los orígenes del islam, y se repasan los acontecimientos y justificación inicial de la guerra como necesaria para el sustento de la nueva comunidad de fieles y cómo se llega a institucionalizar el ŷihād como precepto. Cuando no es posible realizar este, como sustituto del ŷihād se desarrolla el espíritu del ribāṭ. Se explica la evolución hacia una espiritualización de este precepto, desarrollada inicialmente en «lugares de ribāṭ» y luego en las rábitas. Finalmente, se resumen los datos toponímicos y arqueológicos que conocemos sobre las rábitas en Portugal.
It’s presented the concepts of war and peace in the origins of Islam, reviewing developments and initial justification for the war as necessary for the sustenance of the new community of believers and how it comes to institutionalize the ŷihād as a precept. When it is not possible, as a substitute for ŷihād, the community develops the spirit of ribāṭ, explaining his evolution towards a spiritualization of this precept, initially developed in «places of ribāṭ» and then in the rābiṭas. Finally, are summarized the archaeological and toponymic data that we know about the «rábitas» in Portugal.
