Abstract
- This photograph depicts a group of more than 20 men doing Indian club work on Pratt Field on the International YMCA College, now Springfield College, campus as part of May Day Festival of 1920. The men are standing in a line and seem to be twirling the clubs in front of them. The Festival included a gymnastics show of the skills of students from the International YMCA College, now Springfield College. There can be seen a crowd watching the men standing in the background. The photograph is part of a collection of 9 photographs, all depicting the gymnastics show. The series of photographs are numbered and were taken by photographer John Barnum for a local newspaper, the Springfield Republican.
