Analytical and fractal descriptions of non-linear mechanical behaviour of polymers

A differential equation for retarded compliance can be derived from a fractal rheological model. The equation can be generalized to account for aging prior to and during creep, and for non-linearity at high extensions. The generalized equation is shown to give an excellent description of aging in semi-crystalline polymers.
