Abstract

Particles in the pleural space are cleared through pores connected to the subpleural lymphatic system of the parietal pleura, can be trapped in these pores and form "ack spots"structures composed of fibers, including carcinogenic long fibers, particles, macrophages and lymphocytes. The use of nanoparticles grow fast due to their high potential in many activities. Their potential toxicity is due to multiple factors including their shape. However, the association between exposure to nanoparticles and pleural leĢsions in humans remains to be demonstrated. © 2013 Elsevier Masson SAS.
SCOPUS: ar.j
info:eu-repo/semantics/published
